An EPIDURAL question?

i had an epidural when i gave birth to my son, which was sunday, my back has suddenly become very sore and stiff upto my neck, and i find it very hard to twist and best over.... is this a normal side effect from the epi, and should i expect it to go away after a little while? i know epis can cause backache for some time, even forever, but im just concerned about it these last couple days.. bit sore! thanks.

Anaphalytic shock and pregnancy, HELP.?

Im pregnant and allergic to EVERYTHING, especially around spring when things begin to turn green, I have gone into anaphalytic shock twice, and wound up in the hospital. I am worried that if I get allergic to something there is nothing I can do because of the baby. I have an Epi-pen, but that in itself is a risk without being pregnant. No, the don't expect you to know everything on the first day! Is this class at a gymnastics gym? Most likely, they will just teach you tumbling skills such as back/front walkovers, back/front handsprings, etc. I'm naturally very inflexible, and at my tumbling class there's plenty of other girls that aren't flexible either. You can practice your flexibility at home. So don't worry! The whole point of a class is to learn new things, so they won't expect you to know how to do everything! Good luck! It's great that you're following your passion. Cheer is so much fun!

How can I make my parents less overprotective?

I'm 15 years old, about to turn 16 in about 4 months. A sophomore in high school. My parents are VERY overprotective. I can't go anywhere by myself, literally. Movies, county fairs, or parties. I'm surprised they don't go to school with me. If I ever want to be parent-free, I have to go to my friend's houses and have them take me places. And it's almost like pulling teeth to get them to let me go to my friends' houses. They take FOREVER to decide whether or not I can go. When I CAN go, they call me every 10 minutes asking me what I'm doing, and they pick me up the next morning at like 8:00 A.M.. I mean, seriously??? Most girls my age don't get picked up until, like, the afternoon the next day!! I can't have a boyfriend, either. I'm allowed to "say" I have one, but I can't go anywhere with them, so most of the time I don't even bother trying to get a boyfriend, since there's no fun in just texting them all the time and not seeing them outside of school. My parents are extremely overprotective when it comes to boys. That's mainly the reason I can't go to the movies or anywhere like that: they think boys will be there. Okay, I know that boys around my age can't be trusted much, but I'm more responsible than that. I'm not gonna go get pregnant or anything. I have more going for me than having sex. I get straight A's in school, I'm a cheerleader, I'm in my school's concert band, and I sing at my church as well. My other peers have been going to boy/girl parties, and even other boys' houses since 7th grade! A few different baby questions?

Oh my gosh you sound just like me!! 1. You do get energy to push a baby they say. For me that wasn't the case. I was walking all that day and then went into labor a 10pm and had him at 743am so I didn't get ANY sleep. I was so exhausted by the time I had to push I couldn't push him out. They had to cut me and almost gave me an emergency c section because I started becoming unresponsive and could barely open my eyes. He told me that he was going to use the vaccume and I had to push just a few more times and he'd be out. Idk how I found the energy to do so but I did. 2. The only thing I reccomend is a heating pack and a pillow between your legs. It sucks but honestly I still to this day 9 weeks after having my son get those pains when I lay on one side for too long :(. 3. You could very easily be close to labor or you could be far you can't really tell by that. My doctor checked me on friday and I was 1cm and the baby was very low and I was very soft and I had my son wednesday. Only 2 cm when I went into labor. 4. My doctor was also going to be out of town on my due date!! Crazy, well I wanted to have my baby before he left so I walked, had sex, ate pinnapple (it softens your cervix), drank Red raspberry ice tea, walked up and down the stairs. I did all this sat and went into labor tuesday night. I don't think any of that had anything to do with it execpt the walking and sex. Follow the recipe EXACTLY, just to be sure. 5. I washed the colors seperate on gentle cycle. I also used dreft baby detergent. Regular detergent can irritate they're new baby skin. They're are many different baby detergents. Dreft is an expensive one but I love it. Oh and don't use dryer sheets! Goodluck with your baby girl it's an amazing feeling being a momma! :)

Childbirth questions?

I have an EXTREMELY low pain tolerance. I'm talking getting queasy when I've gotten shots in the past or freaking out when donating blood. Just the thought of pain makes me insane! Me and my husband recently decided we want kids though, and I really don't know if i could ever handle the pain! With an epidural, do you think i'd be able to withstand the pain? Penecillin alergy and mushrooms ?

I am highly alergic to penicillin and had a bad reaction to it. one day i want to work for a federal law enforcement branch such as the FBI or US Marshals. My dad is a US Marshal and majored in accounting. I dont think id be interested in that though. Does this goal sound realistic?

I'm going to be a sophomore in high school next year, and I'm switching schools from a different state. At my old school I had a 3.66 Cumulative GPA, which would have been about 3.8 if it weren't for Q2 because I got a C, but I can't change that now. I was in 1 AP class (All my school had first year), and I registered for 3 next year. I wasn't in any sports, but I was on the Knowledge Bowl team, which got 2nd place in the Regional Tournament. I'm guessing since I won't have a lot of friends at my new school, I will be able to focus on school a lot more. If I keep my scores high, join multiple clubs, and get jobs/internships, I plan to apply to the following schools for business: Rutgers, UPenn (I realize this will probably not happen, but you never know), NYU, and Stockton. For UPenn and NYU, I don't know if I will be able to make their business programs, but I could always take the normal business classes, then transfer to Wharton/Stern right? Also, if I go to Ocean County College, will I be able to transfer to these schools? If all my plans go correct, I think I may be able to land a job in investment banking in Manhattan. I know that NYU and UPenn are target schools, and they both give me a good chance at Wall Street, but will I even be able to make it? I know this is a loaded question but please help me guys.

Is this normal? Flexibility?

Well, I've only done ballet once in my life and that was when I was about 4 years old but I'm 14 now which makes that about 10 years ago and I just decided about one or two months ago that I wanted to see if I could gain some flexibility so I started to stretch, (one minute stretch on each leg, back bends but I've always known how to do that,butterfly stretches, frog stretches, etc. and I wasn't very consistent but my point is I can already put my legs behind my head,lay onto my front legs, scorpion and a heel stretch and do middle splits, right and left splits and my backbend is really good so what I'm asking is how did I get flexible so fast if I've only been doing it for a couple of weeks? Am I naturally flexible?

I have had three and im a guy can't say about the prego part but they hurt like a ***** for about a week after....they did stick a huge needle in ur spine. If they fd up you would know you wouldn't be able to walk because u would be paralyzed give it a week than go to the dr again. It should go away though nothing to worry about. Only prob would be an infection now that i think about it but they do them more than you would think and there pretty good at it. Please don't think you have one, its likely you don't thought i had to say it though, also you would know.

I have a raspberry allergy- most fruits, for that matter, except citrus. You want to be really careful- allergies can get worse over time. The other day, for example, I ate an apple, which usually only makes my mouth and throat itchy, but this time I had full blown hives. Don't eat raspberry stuff, especially fresh ones (these seem to cause the biggest problems in a lot of people). Good luck and make sure you always have your epi-pen.

Ever since about a month ago i have felt like i had anxiety and/or depression but ive never had it my whole life (im 15) so ill start by saying everything that's happened so far. first of all before this all started i was out at my brothers taking a break from being at home cause me and my mom don't really get along,so i must have been out there at least a week then it felt as if i was starting to get a cold so i wanted to go home,well as soon as i got home my mom dropped a bombshell on me and said she had skin cancer.SO quit smoking cigarettes cause i thought i was gonna get cancer too. And i guess i kinda held my emotions in from that,and i started thinking,of how bad of a son i have been to her and it kinda threw me off,like say this, if you went your whole life on the verge of loving/hating someone then found out they died...well when i found out i started to realize how much the good outweighed the bad in our relationship..well soon after that i started having breathing problems that ended up in the ER just for them to tell me nothing was wrong...so i had a follow up with my (PCP) Primary care Physician... and he thought i was having an allergy attack from something i ate so he prescribed an epi-pen just in case it happened again and he also prescribed antibiotics just in case it was just a bad cold or bronchitis, so i went home still having the feeling that was similar to like having a too tight shirt or coat on feeling i was feeling like i was suffocating, i took my antibiotics and laid down soon after that ( the next day i started getting diarrhea and my stomach wouldn't stop grumbling, so i stopped wanting to eat cause it mainly happened then (plus i still didn't have the results back from my allergy test)....so i was only eating small stuff and drinking water, so when i was off the antibiotics the stomach problems stopped but i would still have the suffocating feeling on and off and i started to notice when i kept myself occupied i wouldn't notice it so i constaintlywatched movies and slept,but at the times when i got bored and there was nothing to do i would resort to just thinking and thats when i would scare myself, cause i would start wondering whats wrong with me (cause ive never experenced anxiety or depression before) and then i would look up on the internet symptoms and diesieses and basicly think i had most of them which scared e more cause i dont want to die (mainlky cause idk whats gonna happen to me when i do like im scared that when i die like ill just be gone and all ill see is blackness like when your eyes are closed and ill be like that forever.well back to whats been happning so after i got the allergy tests back there were negitive i wasent allergic to anything so that (even tho it was good news) scared me cause if it wasent allergies then what was it. so the doc said to have me checked for sleep apnea but i dident really think at the time it was that cause i never said it only felt like that at night it was happning all day. so i decided to go out to my brothers for a couple weeks so while i was out there it was my step sisters B DAY so we went bowling then after that he got a new car so i was busy helping him give it small tune ups and replaceing old stuff with new...then i started to notice the feeling it was so strange at the time cause i was thinking about the matrix (the movie) and i started to think and got to wondering what if life is really like that and im not really me but im some computer of the really me was just plugged into one and it was scary to think like that,other than that the other symptoms were barly noticeable with all the stuff i had to do but when it came time to go home i was feeling pretty much normal and i felt as if it was starting to go away and as of now im starting to feel better with everyday that passes but im still thinking about the matrix thing and am even a little scared to watch the movie ever again, but i just want to know if any of the stuff ive told you guys or the things ive experenced have happened to anyone else out there...my brothers coming out to visit tomarrow so i get to go back to his housr tomarow but i just want to feel normal again and not have to worry aboiut every little thing...So plz if anyone finds this plz awnser back.

How to learn a back handspring at home?

ok well idk if this is a very good idea, but a good way to start is by doing a back walkover and instead of landing with your feet at the 2 different times, snap them down at the same time so you land with your feet together. do this until you have a rebound out of it. also jumping backwards is really scary and im a gymnast so i know how it feels, i still don't like landing on my back on the tramp, but yea.... So before you actually try it you have to make sure that your arms are really Strong and make sure that they wont 'give in'. You could try doing a lunge, then throw yourself into a handstand and snap down to try and get more of a feel. now you have to picture yourself doing it perfectly before you do it, i know it sounds crazy but thats how i got 1st on beam at states. Take a deep breath and count to three and swing and go for it WITH A SPOT! you cant just stand therefidgetingg because that is what creates fear, and all the time you spend there thinking about it the worse its going to seem, but theyre really not that hard once you get used to it. hope i helped GOOD LUCK :)

*sorry this is so long* This is my 2nd pregnancy due in November. With my 1st I was induced because of Pre-ecplamsia and in labor 20 hours. From the start I wasnt keen on the epi and lasted as long as I could. I was bed ridden due to having to be monitored because of my blood pressure so there was no option of walking around or taking a hot shower. 18 hours into the labor I ended up needing pintocin to speed up the labor because bubs heart rate was slowing. It was at that point I got the epi. The pain I could handle, it was the urge I had to push. It was unbelievable! And it made the pain harder to cope with. After I got the epi and it kicked in I wanted to kiss the dr! Most relief I've ever felt in my life. But long enough story short bub was born healthy, I however was in a world of pain. I ended up needing the vacuum and had an episiotomy so things were every uncomfortable for the 1st 24hrs while I couldn't walk (because of the epi) and having the urine cathitor in. It was painful to even move around in bed or walk around for days after and weeks later i could still feel it. And this was what the dr said was 'healing nicely' now I look back I think was it worth the pain for having the epi, should I do it again? Does the epi really affect the healing process? Or would that have happened anyway. I want to try and make up my mind before hand this time because if I do get again I don't want to wait 18 hours!

How do I help my 2yr old deal with his new found peanut allergy?

I gave my son one bite of bread with a very thin smear of peanut butter. Won us a trip to the ER. He got a bad case of hives. His eyes and ears were swollen. He went to an allergist and tested pos. for peanut allergy. Next week we'll blood test to rule out tree nuts. My dilemma is if it's not mandatory for manufactures to list products made in a peanut facility how seriously should I take this? We now have an EPI pen. If somehow he is introduced to a food that's made in the same factory as peanuts could this possibly build his immunity and help him outgrow the allergy. Or should I just take extreme measures and create a peanut free bubble for my son. DOES ANYONE WITH A PEANUT ALLERGY HAVE ANY ADVISE?

What can I use 4 the pain??!!?

I was induced on the 1st of June at 38 weeks bc they said that my baby wasnt growing anymore possibly bc of the placenta and had her weighing 5lbs. I got the epi and didnt feel a thing altho I did feel the crowning process but didnt hurt excepet 4 on the very top of my vagina. In the end I ended up having 2 get just 1 stich on each inside just below the clit but they hurt sooooo bad I cant stand it! My doc said it's not infected and looks great and gives me norco 4 the pain but it doesn't help at all and I dont want 2 take it bc I read online that it get in the breast milk and I breast feed exclusively. On top of that I got the epi and my back is constantly killing me and my nipples are soooo painful and burn and even looks like they bleed. Is there anything that I can take 2 stop all this pain that wont effect my baby or at least dull it a bit. I have asked my doc but all she's giving me is motrin and that doesnt help either. Thanks.

Can you do the liberty class at the fair if you just ride walk trot?

I live in Maricopa County AZ. My mother was co-tenant on my lease. She passed away 06/22/11. Now I HAVE to move, but I'm in the middle of a 12 month lease. My landlord has no mercy-she says if I move out under ANY circumstances, I'm am breaking the lease-there is NO condition in which I can legally void my lease. Do I have any rights here? I helped a friend train her first retreiver to find and retreive birds in her backyard, though idk how effective it is since neither of us has ever been hunting yet. it smells out and catches live ducks if you tell it to retreive and it has no dead duck lol. We used dead quail (avaliable frozen on the internet) and started off by playing fetch and just makin the dog love going after birds. Then we would start throwing the bird and holding the dog back till it hit the ground to tell it to retreive. After that, he dog would sit by the master abd the helper would put the bird on the ground about 20 or 30 feet away. Dog would retreive a bird that it hasnt seen fall. Then it would go around the corner with its master and wait for a helper to put it in the yard where the dog can only see it if he rounds the corner. Then the master would command it to retreive (by this time it should know what you want, it just has to go around the corner to see and find it. Lastly, we begun throwing it into brush and then letting the dog go get it once its dissappeared. Lastly, we would put them around in the brush and stuff and tell the dog to retreive. Dog would not have seen the birds being planted, but would have to smell them out. Begin each step easy and make it more difficult. Only move on when the dog can handle it and if he locks up at a step, go back to the last step before moving on again. Always switch it up and never let the dog anticipate things. Throw it in water too. Eventually, you can take your dog out to your hunting ground and shoot the air as a friend throws a bird and have dog retreive birds. All that is left is to take the dog out to an actual hunt. Good luck :)

Double Eyelid Tapes or the Eyelid Glue is better. I'd stick with the tapes though. I have natural double eyelids, but sometimes they go away. You just have to put the tapes on for about an hour or 2. At first, I'd keep them on for 2 hours. And usually they stay the rest of the day. The glue stays on your eyes all day, but it isn't for people with sensitive skin. And with the tapes, if you use them long enough, you can get permanent double eyelids, and they are cheap. :]

Is this a realistic goal?

I'm going to be a sophomore in high school next year, and I'm switching schools from a different state. At my old school I had a 3.66 Cumulative GPA, which would have been about 3.8 if it weren't for Q2 because I got a C, but I can't change that now. I got A's every quarter and final in my Economics class. I was in 1 AP class (All my school had first year), and I registered for 3 next year. I wasn't in any sports, but I was on the Knowledge Bowl team, which got 2nd place in the Regional Tournament. I'm guessing since I won't have a lot of friends at my new school, I will be able to focus on school a lot more. If I keep my scores high, join multiple clubs, and get jobs/internships, I plan to apply to the following schools for business: Rutgers, UPenn (I realize this will probably not happen, but you never know), NYU, and Stockton. For UPenn and NYU, I don't know if I will be able to make their business programs, but I could always take the normal business classes, then transfer to Wharton/Stern right? Also, if I go to Ocean County College, will I be able to transfer to these schools? If all my plans go correct, I think I may be able to land a job in investment banking in Manhattan. I know that NYU and UPenn are target schools, and they both give me a good chance at Wall Street, but will I even be able to make it? I know this is a loaded question but please help me guys.

i was at a dinner during an overnight trip and we were served one option for desert.. carrot cake... Sore throat after being stung by a yellow jacket...does this mean I'm allergic?

Took my kids to the beach this past weekend and got stung by a yellow jacket. I only got stung one time luckily-they say yellow jackets will usually sting you repeatedly if you freak out, which I did. However about two hours later my throat started hurting and it got pretty bad where I couldn't sleep and it was to difficult to swallow. Does this mean that I am allergic? Best guitar amp for a beginner?

Hi i started learning guitar about a month ago and have starting to figure things out. Im becoming better everyday. Why do I keep getting so many spots?

It has been nearly 5 months now and I keep getting 2 or 3 random spots on my face. I have never had spots before and now my skin just doesn't clear up....when one spot disappears another one will grow in another place. They are not even small pimples, they are actually quite big with pus and they hurt if I touch it, even just to put cream on. First, my doctor prescribed me with Duac and now he's given me Epi-duo cream to apply on the spots and Tetralysal 30mg antibiotic tablets to take once a day for 2 months....I have been taking these for nearly 3 weeks but I'm still getting new spots. I have a wedding in 6 weeks time and my skin has lots of marks on it and yet more spots just keep appearing. I'm really stressed out because of this...please can anyone help?

i would go with the VZ61 CQB Scorpion, it is electric and not gas. the gas guns may be more realistic with the blow back and everything but the gas can be expensive, you lose fps as your gas well empties, the gas is also stored in the magazine on pistols so unless you buy multiple mags you will find yourself constantly refilling it with the gas. also many times after some use you lose a good seal between the mag and the gun itself which will cause it to leak and waste gas. my only concern with the scorpion is the wire stock looks a little flimsy so i would be careful using it. It is electric and has a much larger mag which equals more time firing at your opponent and less time reloading.

Ibuprofen while pregnant 27 weeks?

for that past couple of days ive taken 3 pills of ibuprofen (200 mg) 1 night then 1 pill the next night another one the following night and 2 lastnight.. i have terrible tooth pain and im just trying to pull through till 2morrow that im going to pull the f**ker out!!! I know its not recommend but ive read that before 32 weeks its a little more passable! trust the pain is crazy its even made me decided that i don't even need a an epi!! My advice would for western pleasure and halter would be to make sure you look clean cut. No dirt on any tack, you, or the horse. For all riding classes, make sure you have the helmet (if they require one) and ride your horse around the grounds by the arena to make sure nothing really spooks him. At my fair during gaming classes we have to run with dirt-bikes firing up behind us..so hopefully you don't have that. Showing can be a ton of fun, just relax! :)

not sure about the half epi thing, do some google research and I'm sure you'll find some stuff....as for the oxygen if its necessary for the baby's well being, ask for the nose tube instead of the full face mask and maybe that will help some of your dizziness and panic attack issues....they generally give you oxygen to help the baby and its often very necessary to help them deal with labor and contractions especially if they start noticing major dips in the heart rate during contractions signalling the baby is not dealing with labor well......I'd definitely take the oxygen to see if it helps.....because if the baby doesn't handle labor well they may start saying the "C" word!!! Otherwise if its not necessary for the baby's well being I don't see why they would even try to give it to you, it really shouldn't be an issue, but discuss it and the reasons it could become necessary so you know better what to expect and your doctor knows what you do and don't want to take place during your birthing experience. Congrats and I hope all goes well :)
