In Mortal Kombat 9 2011, Scorpion kills Subzero's youger brother. Am i correct?

Im confused when Scorpion kills Subzero's younger brother while in hell (in Mortal Kombat 2011).Has the real Subzero already been killed by Scorpion? Is Subzero's younger brother really dead? Who really killed Scorpions clan and family? was it Subzero or the Sorcerer? Do both of the Subzero brothers get killed? Why does Scorpions clan and family get killed? was it an assassination?
