If i have been arrested for BATTERY-TOUCH OR STRIKE in Polk county FL will this prevent me from being a cop?

I was arrested back in 2006, charged with Battery-touch or strike, He hit me i called the cops and go figure they arrested ME! In 2008 i got jumped by him and his family and of course i was going to hit back so they arrested me and charged me with the same thing. Will this prevent me from pursuing a career in law enforcement? I have never been in any trouble before that or after.
