Need a metal guitar when i have 50s les paul player?

i dont know what to get. i want another guitar so i can play more than just gnr and ac/dc. i really want something cheaper like a epiphone les paul(its not something that i will play more than the 50s lp so why spend alot) but i will go with ibanez or something. my main question here what guitars will have emg pickups and have the thickest neck possible. does the epi. nightfall with a speed taper neck resemble the gibson 60 slim taper. i need help!!!!!!
